Part-Time Caregiver

Are you a compassionate and reliable caregiver who believes in supporting others with dignity and heart? Aging with Grace Housing Initiative, a non-profit Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) in Sacramento, is looking for a part-time Caregiver to provide essential support and personalized care to our residents.

🕒 Schedule:

• Thursday through Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  
  

• 24 hours per week
  
  

🌼 Job Description:
The Caregiver provides compassionate, personalized care and assistance to individuals who need help with daily living activities. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents, helping them maintain a high quality of life in a supportive environment.

✨ Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care Assistance:

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility)
  
  

• Support medication reminders and follow care plans
  
  

Household Support:

• Perform light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, organizing)
  
  

• Prepare and serve meals, respecting dietary needs
  
  

Companionship:

• Offer emotional support and engage in conversation, hobbies, and light activity
  
  

• Accompany residents to appointments or errands as needed
  
  

Operational Oversight:

• Support day-to-day facility operations and ensure smooth workflow
  
  

• Help implement procedures for care quality and safety
  
  

• Maintain a clean, welcoming facility environment
  
  

Health Monitoring:

• Observe and report changes in residents’ health or behavior
  
  

• Assist with basic health checks (blood pressure, glucose) if trained
  
  

Safety Assurance:

• Promote a safe environment, preventing falls and accidents
  
  

• Follow emergency protocols during medical or other crises
  
  

✅ Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
  

• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required
  
  

• Current CPR and First Aid certification
  
  

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  
  

• Patient, compassionate, and attentive to resident needs
  
  

• Must pass TB screening and background check (Live Scan)
